Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Hi fishies! Are there any recruiters from Facebook (Meta) who would be kind enough to review my resume and give me some feedback? From my perspective I’m a candidate for some of the roles I’ve recently applied for and also have experience as a contingent worker there and would like some honest feedback so I can reassess and reapply. Thanks so much in advance!

The manager probably wants to get a sense for your competencies and whether the other product marketers feel you’re up to the challenge. Also a good opportunity to flip the tables and ask questions about working there.
That’s pretty standard and a good thing. It’s a great way to learn about team culture and your day to day responsibilities. I’d take advantage and prepare questions that give you a sense of what working there will be like.

They’re looking for you to be a cultural fit - they’re likely going to ask you questions about your work and how you approach it, and you work with colleagues/stakeholders. But they should also be working to sell you on the company and working with them - and if they don’t, push them on it. What are they like to work with, how is the company to work for, what’s the team lead like.
