Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Have final round interviews at BCG tomorrow. I'm at S& right now at the SA level. Father had a sudden health issue come up this week and it's got me off my game. I'll ultimately need to support him financially for at least a year while he recovers. Not complaining, but has me considering just dropping out of the interview process. Is that crazy? Is the opportunity with BCG really so far beyond what I have already with S&? Is dropping a better look than interviewing and doing terribly?
