Bain & Company Hey! Got dinged at BCG and Mck and then hadn't heard back from Bain, but just found out I made it to final rounds. I haven't been prepping for over a week as it'd be two since my first round at Bain.

Thinking about leaving my position at Red Ventures as a Software Engineer, for an internship at AWS with potential to be hired full time. Right now I’m making 75-90k a year at RV but from what I hear at Amazon Web Services I could be making double. But I worry about the burn out at FAANG companies. Opinions? I feel my salary is pretty low for what I do.

What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.

Final rounds will be with more senior people (APs and Partners), will focus more on fit/behavioral, and the case may be slightly more unique. But it will be very similar - no new format or major differences in approach. Be ready to have a good conversation, explain your motivations and interests, and focus on still nailing the case.
Also, if it comes up don’t hesitate to say Bain is your clear #1 and you’d accept no doubt (don’t share details about dings). Not a huge factor, but it can move the needle with edge cases to know you’re a sure yes.

So just prep the same you think? Nothing different to focus on like how McKinsey has their PEI?
Thanks for the insights! I'll continue prepping cases and work on some fit questions
