I had my HR round in the first week of feb after clearing all the required technical rounds. HR round was nothing but salary discussion and the HR asked for some documents like salary slips, KYC documents. According to HR, the salary I was demanding was too high and she needed approvals from Management. Now also she is saying that she is waiting for approvals. So, just wanted to have some insights on this. If this is a Yes or No, or the firm is delaying to get someone in lower salary?

An agency I freelance for wants to hire me full-time. They told me for a Sr Copywriter, 100-110k. I countered with 125-150.

I also said I'm interested in a higher-level title - I currently freelance as a Creative Director of Copy elsewhere (they don't have that title at this agency.)

They came back and said yes to the title and to 125, with a 6 month review that could raise it to 145.

Which is good for Sr Copy, but low for CD/ACD level. Don't want to screw myself over. What to say now?

My joining in both are in around May last week. Tomorrow my IBM pre onboarding HR will connect with me. Should I ask for a counter offer tomorrow itself?
Or should I ask 2 weeks before joining?
Many told me that companies revise CTC when the joining date is near, else they show less interest. So should I go for it now itself?
