Help me out here. I had what I would consider a very good interview with a senior person. Very nice person, things really clicked. The call ended where he said he would reach out the HR person to set up the next call with the owner. He continued to encourage me to email if I had any other questions. That was a week and a half ago. Never heard from HR. Sent him a follow up email thanking him and saying that I was looking forward to the call with the owner. No response. Am I being ghosted?

Last year when Covid broke, I received a couple of interview calls but ignored them as I felt the organization kept me at work when other companies cut short their HR staff so I should be with them even if with no appraisal. But now, I was living in the fool's paradise when I am told to leave with no job offers in hand, car and home loan, dependent parents, expecting jobless spouse with a 3-year old kid.

What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken? I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon. Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids. I'm grateful to have lots of good work but not sure how to course correct.

I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?

Had such a great interview with an agency this morning. Then I look at their Glassdoor and it's horrible reviews- like the opposite of what the recruiter and group account director told me.

What do I do? I have a really good gut feeling about this but now scared from Glassdoor. UGH finding a job is so hard.

If I applied to a company and sent a message to the recruiter on LinkedIn, but they haven’t accepted my connection request or responded to my message, should I follow up with an email a week later? Trying to find the line between enthusiastic and being a weirdo.
