Not only that, but do you get treated like a paying customer? No.
John Wren never met a bad bet he didn’t make.
And they’re probably struggling to keep their heads above water with all the productions being dumped on them too, which they either don’t care about or don’t have time to care about now. The system works!
And you’re speaking to a team who isn’t invested as it’s not their office or coworkers. So the quality is below average
Wait until they start paying you in their own cryptocurrency, WrenCoin.
Free, other that the salaries, benefits, and overhead costs you would be paying for your in house production team. So not all that free.
This sounds remarkably like my experience at a now discontinued omnicom agency years ago before i went freelance. Have to pay OMC for everything and take whatever crap quality you get. Need motion graphics done? Use this guy who’s never done it before but he can watch some YouTube videos and figure it out - and pay the same you’d pay for an external vendor who actually knows what they’re doing. They even made us move offices into a lame office space nobody wanted to be in, but omnicom owned, so we could pay $$$ for “rent”
The worst part is every group in the holding company is scrabbling for the money to hit their revenue goals. So there’s no common agenda/lots of internecine politics.
Get out if you can
Me first
Add on top of that having to pay an arm and a leg to Shared Services by force (you won’t see this happen but guaranteed your finance department will), and then on top of that being forced to use OBS. From a high level business perspective I get it but gone are the days of free navigation to build and foster long standing partnerships without conflict of interest.
I know what the MSF overhead % was when it was IPG, I wonder what it is now with Omnicom? (I am not as close to the numbers these days)

Wait. You work for Omnicom and you have to pay Omnicom for services? I'm confused.
