Bain & Company Hi all, I am interested in making the move to the Middle East, however starting from august/September. What do you think are the prospects for the future in the region? Do you envisage a hiring freeze or are companies still going strong? Thanks!McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Kearney Bain & Company

D1 did we work together?!?
Seconding what D2 said - with the flight benefits, pay tends to be under market compared to other companies / industries. Delta has a pretty old school culture (for example, I think their paid maternity leave is like 8 wks and paid paternity leave is like 2 wks). They also tend to require at least 4 days per week, in-office (this was even the case in summer 2021 when Covid was surging). Leadership is expected to come in 5 days per week but not sure if that would apply to manager level or if starts at GM (their Senior Manager level). They do seem to have a culture of advancement and they often promote from within. Delta is also heavily committing toward sustainability which is nice for an airline.
Source: have lived in ATL for 14 years and know many, many people who work for or have worked for Delta. I’m also a die-hard Delta loyalist as a passenger. If the job moved you to Atlanta, it’s a great city and you can a direct flight to almost anywhere on Delta. Good luck!

Pretty sure flight benefits also are pretty laggard now with airlines filling capacity quite effectively. I think airlines are at close to 90%+ seats filled, which makes flying standby a harder perk to truly take advantage of, compared to 15+ years ago when airlines only filled ~70% of their seats.
Pay is below average and company culture is very old school (10 PTO days, coming into the office 4 days a week)
Bonus for all employees this year was $1,250 + MIP and raises for all employees were 4%.
The free flight perk sounds great, but is not all that. You never know if you will get on a flight or not and it’s almost impossible to plan a vacation around a standby flight.
