Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

I’d have the owner fix it
Def requires an HVAC person with such a new unit
Have you checked the filter? I had a similar situation where the filter had been sucked into the air outlet and was blocking the air going through.
If there is air coming out of the vent is the air cool?
Most likely something the landlord has to address
There’s 2 airflow filters that we change every month. No blockage that I’m aware of, house is very warm.
Has the HVAC been maintained? A fuse in the unit could have blown.
As I stated in another comment, a tech came out last year, although it was unrelated to this since the unit itself wasn’t blowing any cold air at the time. The tech got it back to blowing cold air and didn’t see any underlying issues with a fuse, but said condensation could build up in the unit and to flush it out with water ever so often. That doesn’t really seem to do the trick.
Your motor is probably out or the coolant is low
It’s an Air handler and heat pump system

1) Spend a hundred bucks and get a Nest or updated thermostat
2) make sure the airflow is pushing air where it’s supposed to
Can you expand on #2, where and how do I check this?

How you measured the temperature of the air coming out of the registers? You should be getting about a 20 degree difference between the air being sucked into the return and the air coming out. If you don’t have close to that, something is wrong and you should have someone come out. If the system was installed in 2020, it’s probably covered under warranty. If the ac works then the system is undersized or the house insulation is insufficient.
I had the landlord bring a tech out last summer as it was doing the same thing. They tested the air coolness and it was coming out a lot colder than what the thermostat was set to, just can’t recall the digit. It is def under warranty as I realized it was actually installed in 21 not 20.
The utility company (I’m guessing you have OUC?) will come do a free energy audit and will determine if there are major issues with your HVAC system. Just had them do this for me (also Central FL). Just learned that my unit is a little small and old but not worth the cost to replace right now. Just takes a bit to cool. Sounds like a different issue for you though. Probably worth the free inspection. Then if it’s a big issue, you can put it on the landlord perhaps to fix it.
Did they at any time ask you if you were the owner of the property for this request? Because I’m thinking OUC would work with the property owner and not a tenant for that type of requests. But definitely doesn’t hurt to look into.
