How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. I heard a great quote from Caroline Wanga that I reference when I don't feel valued at a job. She said, "If who you are doesnt fit where you are, change where you are, not who you are." I pray this inspires you accordingly.
It sounds like it is time to get the heck out of there. I am so sorry you're experiencing this - but not surprised. Best time to look for a job is while you have one! Start looking.
Working on my resume as we speak
I'm sorry OP. That has to be extremely frustrating. Time to look for a new job maybe 🤷🏾♀️. Why don't you check to see what other opportunities are out there. And what do you mean they refuse to put you on projects, do you have no work to do at all? If that's the case, I would definitely update my resume and start looking elsewhere.
I definitely am going to look. I work for the special projects team, when I don’t get put on a project I have to do associates work. I was supposed to start a new project last week but somehow she forgot that she was taking a week vacation.
It sounds like an extremely frustrating spot to be in. Have you considered leaving? It just sounds like it might be time to start looking for something elsewhere.
If u haven't document all these incidents. File complaint with HR and EEOC for discrimination. If they retaliate, you can add that yo your EEOC claim and sue for discrimination on your way out.
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this. You definitely do not deserve the treatment you are receiving. I wish you success on finding your new endeavor that recognizes your expertise and value that you are going to bring to their company.
I’m experiencing that right now; I think my company is blocking me.
I encourage you to leave that job love you cannot rise of someone keep poking holes in your balloon get out of there!
File a complaint with HR and EEOC
Getting undervalued by your company is straight up frustrating. If I were you, I'd look for another company that values you for what you're worth. By the way, please see a therapist on this if you can, you don't want yourself to implode all of a sudden.
