Need help with a query. I had a joining bonus of 2LPA subjected to tax deductions. Now, since I am leaving within an year of joining, the company is asking me to pay back the complete 2LPA. In this case, what happens to the tax I have already beared close to 45,000. Will I get it when I file ITR?

Please give me a rough estimate on how much hike we can expect in my annual salary revision. I expected 8LPA when I joined. They gave me 5LPA with a promise of revision in 3months after joining. They inc it to 7.75LPA after 4m and during appraisal cycle gave 25k 11months to make it to 8LPA. In Oct my hike is due, so I would to like negotiate my hike. Please let me know how much I can ask for.

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. During work from office days, a representative from third party vendor organization used to visit the Gurgaon office during the Investment Proof Declaration days to help folks with "rent agreements, PAN number and rent slips" (ahem!! ahem!! IYKYK) and we were able to claim tax deductions.

I am earning 85k/month now. Thinking to purchase a land of around 15L, not just for investment but to build our own house on it in future.

Though I can somehow manage it without taking a land loan. But I was wondering if I can take some to avail tax benefits.

Does having corporate NPS account make any difference? Ultimately we get 50k additional deduction only ,right? So between an employee giving a voluntary contri of 50k to an individual nps account and another whose employer's contri 50k to corporate account will give the same benefits, isn't this understanding correct?
