Joined Ericsson a year ago. Learned new things but not enough. Thinking of leaving it and join some other org. What do you think? I wanted some on-site opportunities but so far nothing.
I know the raise will be in between 5-10%. But the part I missed the most is learning. I can use their portal but that is all theory and can’t do much if they don’t provide the time for it .

Curious here - my buddy just became a “Director” of Business Development in a LCOL area for a professional sports team. He likes to brag about how much he makes but I don’t really buy it. What’s the solution to email overload? At this point if it’s not coming directly from my team or clients or emails about compensation it goes right to archive and I don’t read it. I feel like I’d miss something important, but I probably get 15 emails a day that get deleted immediately otherwise.

I put in my two weeks this past Friday, was told by project leadership to not let client counterparts know until I get the green light so that they can have a plan of action prior to letting them all know. On Tuesday I setup another meeting to see where they’re at, still nothing. Here we are I’ve got a week left client still doesn’t know and I’m gettin pulled into things left right and center. Any tips on how to handle this situation?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
