Hey OP -- to reiterate what others have said mixed in with my own advice:

1) don't quit, let them get rid of you so you can claim unemployment.

2) your only job now to find a new job. This is where I differ from others: you're current job is over, there's no bouncing back from PiPs (very rare). I would do the least amount possible and expend all my effort on finding a new role.

3) ask your network or friends for referrals. It appears applying online is useless. It's not what you know; it's about who you know. It can feel like a herculean task, but it is doable.

4) document and record conversations. But I wouldn't spend too much effort on this either.

6) the PIP may have nothing to do with you. It's just an easier way, supposedly, for companies to get rid of people. It may not help with finding a new job, but at least you don't start doubting you're worth.

Hi Guy's, I don't know what I'm doing wrong at the time of refer anyone in the cognizant. Whenever I refer someone, his/her profile does not progress beyond the "under review" section.

Last week I had to explain to my child what “politics” (as in office politics) is. My child is going to a new high school and wants to play volleyball. There was a 3 day open “tryout” for incoming freshman for 2 teams. After the first day, she noticed that
1) there were obvious favorites (coaches are not even hiding that fact);
2) some can’t even play and got on the team,
3) some that can obviously play but did not get on the team;
4) decision were obviously made before the first day was over.
