Hey ppl! I would love some advice re: my situation. I was in a bootcamp sponsored by my employer; afterwards I was assigned to an agile team. However, for about a year now, I've had to join a 2nd bootcamp, purchase courses on Udemy just to get better at coding. I've gotten 100% better, but I don't have much to show for it professionally because I've been pigeon-holed. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to stand out to other employers so I can get a better job - where I'm included?

I’m thinking about doing a career change. I’ve been a job coach for the last 5 years for this agency I currently work for. I was thinking about getting into project management. How can I get started and what were your experiences like in this field ?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified?
