Why are there so many job postings that I have applied for but nothing happening? Are the jobs that are posted truly open? I know we are in 4th quarter and wasn’t sure if corporation’s like to hire then?

In the meantime, I’ve applied to a lot of similar roles (slightly higher) but have not heard - good or bad - from any. Is it common for companies to slow down hiring in December because of Q4 rush, people on holiday, etc.?

For in-house counsel roles, does firm prestige matter? For example, would the fact that an applicant is from Sullivan & Cromwell vs, say, White & Case matter at all, or is it much more about experience/interview? Does it matter as much as law school credentials? Assuming a mid-level corporate associate seeking to go in-house.

I am far along in the interview process for a job I want (meeting with Chief Legal Officer next week), but am still accepting other interviews until I have a formal offer. However, I have an interview scheduled for early this week where, after further research, I don’t think I would be very happy. Now i have been interviewed and selected for Ameriprise where I would learn on the job and work on workday finance.
No WD certification.
Will it be a good choice in the long run?

I’m a new analyst at a PE firm, and my associate keeps blaming me for things she does wrong. Like she will tell me I made the wrong change, even though she is the one who changed it.
