How helpful is a CIPP certification in being considered for privacy counsel roles?

Hi Fishes, im currently in energy consulting domain. 6 yr YEO. Non IT background with PG. took up a course on advanced certifn. in DS and AI w Intellipaat in the hopes of a hike or a possible career transition. CTC is 7.9 .

Thinking of quitting my FT job to go freelance, to provide more flexibility on where I live. I’ve gotten offers, but I’m always nervous to quit FT for a short term gig. Looking for honest opinions: would you trust career advice from someone who doesn’t necessarily have a background in career coaching but has always been “that friend” that everyone calls for career advice, resumes, salary negotiations etc?
I have a long background in management and have been very successful in climbing the ladder but I would love to start career coaching on the side. Any feedback is helpful!

I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to. The only thing I can think of is: I took a non traditional route after law school and did a 2 year public interest fellowship in a niche field of administrative law. The rejection gave me a lot of self hatred. I still really want to clerk. Any advice? What is wrong with me? I feel like a failure.

Has any creative here ever tried to make the leap to leave advertising and be a film maker, photographer, illustrator, etc.?? I’m so tired of ad agencies and how draining the “creative” can be. Happiness is more important than a nice paycheck for me. Any inspiration success stories advice would be so helpful right now...

Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’ve noticed on Glassdoor, salaries for my level (Director) are higher than my base but have similar bonus opportunity. At what level of pay gap would you push or make a stink? In hindsight I should have pushed more during the hiring process. At 160k base now, seeing ranges in the 170s to low 180s. These are specific to my current company.
