Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

ex-BCGer here
Expect typical case studies but with more depth and focus on ERP/Tech
If you head over to BCG's site on the menu you'll notice 'Industries' and 'Capabilities'
That is the matrix of how the org works
You would probably be staffed on cases where ERP knowledge is required across different 'Industries'
For example if you're based in Asia there's >50% probability you could get staffed in a Banking/Industrial Goods case
Hence you can narrow the specifics here; e.g., ERP in banking
If I assume you're joining BCG as an ERP implementation, here is a sample framework (it's actually more MECE and structured than this)
> Build
Do I build an ERP system?
What value can I extract?
How much does it cost?
How much have my competitors spent?
What is the timeline of implementation?
Do I have internal people capability?
> Buy
Who are the players in ERP?
What are their strengths and weaknesses?
Who is the right vendor?
What are common pitfalls that make implementation bad?
What are the costs?
> Partner
Who do I partner with?
What do they bring to the table?
Why is it better than buy / build?
How are we going to leverage the partnership?
What role are you interviewing for?
Consultant or senior consultant, would be accessed during the interview
