Hi All - Can you help me evaluate an offer from Deloitte S&A? 6.5 Total YOE (5+ in consulting); HCOL city
Current (tier 3/4 Advisory firm): M (3rd level - C, SC, M) - $111k base; ~10-15% bonus (on average)
Offer: SC (3rd level - A, C, SC) - $170k base; up to 24% bonus (realistically 5-10%); $10k sign on
Doesn’t look like they’ll budge on SC.
Major concern is if I end up leaving before being promoted, future employers will view the SC as a step down.
Ms here usually have 7 year min Yoe… while 2 years each at a/c/sc is technically feasible before m it’s very unusual.
At 170k base you’ll make more than me at M though so… take it
What do you make as M at Deloitte?

Wait is your current title managing consultant or manager? If it is managing consultant then this is a lateral move with a huge raise and Improved brand
Current is Managing Consultant. Didn’t realize there was a difference though.
What firm are you currently at?
if you're already thinking about future employers then does it matter lol just take the money it's in line with an MBA hire (with the exception of the signing bonus which is usually 30K+)
Not necessarily thinking about future employers but if for some reason I decided to leave for a managerial role in industry would they look negatively on the move from managing consulting to senior consultant?

I’m not exactly sure what happened with the acquisition. All I know is Strategy and M&A are separate and I’m not M&A.
