Hi all! I have 9 years of consulting experience at EY and Accenture, focusing on program management, business case development, use case identification for tech products, multi-year roadmap development, process improvement, and more. I’ve been applying to program management roles at Microsoft and other firms, but I’m not gaining traction. Is it the tough market, or am I not competitive enough? I’ve also been networking as much as possible.

Any advice on pivoting to industry?

OP this job market is honestly terrible so it really may not be you. I have several friends who were laid off and have been searching for something new for over six months and just can't seem to lock anything down. Hang in there and keep applying.

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).

Need advice on a specific question!
Interviewed with Chicago court 2 weeks ago; they decide mid-August. Interviewed with DC judge last week; hear from him by this Friday. Chicago said if I need an answer before August, they'd try to make a decision about me sooner.
Should I ask Chicago for an answer? Or should I wait until there's an offer from DC judge? Maybe seems better to withdraw before an offer is made rather than ask for time to think about it/turn down DC? What's proper etiquette?

I am new recruiter with about 2 yrs experience within people practice ( learning & development - Employability support - and now recruiting)

I am keen to transition to FAANG/UK but not sure if I should continue in people’s business! Or should I try RPM/APM opportunities as I am currently leading full cycle work with cross functional teams I feel that might be nice thing to take a look at.

Is there other promising career paths I can transition to within tech?

I have recently received an offer from HSBC for Data Engineer profile. The designation offered is Senior Analyst- Information Management. They said that it is a techno functional role. Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side. Will this role be suitable for me?

Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you.

To make job referrals easier, I am making a sticky thread where job seekers can post what roles they're looking for and people who have openings in their organisation can post their requirements as well.

This will make it easier to browse through all the available opportunities in a single thread.

Please feel free to post job referral related questions, opportunities, etc under this pinned post.

Is it important to tell recruiters your end goal when first reaching out? For example, I’m interested in switching from litigation to transactional, but my eventual goal is to go in house. Random partner asked a litigation-related question to a partner I frequently work with (i’m a transactional associate). My partner cc’d me and said for me to briefly look. Asked the library. They got me a great case. Sent it back. Now the random partner is asking for more cases in another circuit.

I haven’t done caselaw research since 1L and this isn’t even my practice… wtf do I do (I am fully utilized in my normal work and have a few deals closing soon…)
