Which practice group (m&a, capital markets, or funds) would be best for someone who genuinely doesn’t care about this job/law but wants to stay in biglaw (NYC) as long as possible? Some folks say m&a is more “intellectually stimulating” and I wonder, for that reason, perhaps capital markets might suit me? (I’d rather take mind numbing repetitive tasks over more “challenging” deals)

How do you respond to a super close friend who says they're not making masks mandatory at their June wedding (about 150 guests) because they want to have fun. To be fair, most people are vaccinated but not everyone os going to be vaccinated. I haven't been to any large gatherings in pver a year and even though im vaccinated, i don't think this is safe. Has the WFH made you more productive or less productive and is it a heavy toll or you can bear for the rest of your life or not.

I know for people with 5+ exp is it good as they can be with family but what about the people like us whom covid hit at the very early stage of the career.
No exposure, no interaction with the team physically and not even much movement from that damn swirling chair.

I had recently joined a big software security company located in Bangalore (I'm working remotely from NCR till October). There is too much work, timing is normally more than 12 hrs, everyone including manager remain online till atleast 11pm. Sometime he pings too.

I have put down my papers back in Feb 1st week at TechM. Post that I already discussion with BHR and my RM.
Till date I have only received the email from PACE HR about confirmation of submission of resignation.
What additional things I have to keep a track prior my exit. And is there any acceptance letter that manager provides and what about the Relieving and Last working day email.

I have been offered a role where for one year I will be working for the service organization I am recruited for and from the next year I will be absorbed by the client and will work for them. Is it safe to proceed or risks involved in that?
