Hi all,

I'm currently a Financial Service Rep (Personal banker) at a relatively large Credit Union with 18 months of experience in New Account (personal, business) and origination and funding of all types of loans.

How would you recommend building a book of business in the first 2-3 years? I don't have much family in US and my social circle is small. I can be very extroverted though and don't fear rejection.

How would someone like me go about this?

What city are you in? I’ve seen social clubs though they cost ($20-40), sometimes they help with opening doors. For book of business, they may even help with getting a role with more edge (Merrill, etc.)

Then id simply ask them 1:1, is there anyone else you think i should be chatting with?

I’m (early30s) about 8 months into a relationship with a 40m. Things are wonderful in every aspect, but he is absolutely atrocious with his finances. I felt it becoming an issue about two months ago. He forgets about auto payments and just generally doesn’t care. I sat down with him and looked at everything and even after talking it out he still continues to stress and it’s now causing me stress. I had a final discussion with him today about it and he went on abt how love isn’t enough for me…

I'm interviewing with KKR for a Principal role in their real estate group. All online salary resources are all in alignment with a total comp of $200k+. I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. Anyone have any direct knowledge or can speak to that group's comp?

Does anyone know if principals are in cubicles or doe they get an office?
