Hi all, I'm open to opinions from anyone here. How long do you think is a reasonable period of time to be a CEO before you need to pass the baton or move onto the next place? My perception is about 15 years is fine but after that it might be right for a fresh mind.

Five years.

I think it's contextual and worry about applying a bright line.

I think 15 years is a pretty good rule of thumb. By that time a CEO has likely had a chance to make a significant impact on the company. They've implemented their vision, they've built a strong team and they've hopefully achieved some major milestones. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule. There are some CEOs who are able to stay in their roles for much longer than 15 years and still be effective, but for most CEOs I think it's a good idea to start thinking about succession planning after a decade or so.

Hi all- My SO is currently at a Big4 & was initially preparing for S&O roles at GCP but given the high number of ex MBB consultants hired, they believe its just more competition to get the offer & to eventually get promoted over time.

Instead, they have decided to pursue program manager or cloud consultant roles, which they feel might have a lower barrier to entry from an assessment standpoint. Not sure if the bowl agrees but would like to get your thoughts, thanks!

I’m looking for transitioning to a Product manager profile from current Product Owner profile. What are the typical interview questions I should prepare?

Though I’m SAFe PMPO certified, I believe any company would ask for hands on experience as a Prod M. What can I do to bypass that as my current org doesn’t have any Prod Manager opportunities.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated. This transition really means a lot to me and I seem to have hit a wall here

Hi everyone, applied for an investment consulting internship few weeks back.
It's a client facing job, but it might come at a later stage of a job, maybe after finishing my internship and getting a job offer.
I'm interested to know what is the must develop skills, must take courses or must read books to get insight, develop the required knowledge and skills for the position. I majored in business management finance and currently preparing for CFA level 1. Thanks in advance ☺️

I currently work at a small PI firm in Atlanta were EVERYTHING is settled presuit. If we’re unable to settle, then it’s referred to another firm for litigation. This whole process seems very atypical to me and the attorneys rarely touch a file until the first liability offer is received. The paralegals handle everything from intake to drafting the demands. The attorney briefly skims (does NOT read) the demand packages and signs. Is this ethical?? Anyone else work at a firm that is run this way??
