Thanks! That’s a very good point! Thinking of going in consulting and then bouncing back in industry again on higher position. The work is good but growth is very slow wrt hierarchy.
To provide more context:
- Parthenon and S& (best of the Big 3) will pay you approximately $300 in total comp if you hit the best bonus
- The rest of Big 4 wont get you close to what you’re making today

Also different M&A practices at each of the big 4 that pay more or less. I’m in DDV (M&A Advisory) def not at what S&1 advertised
Also OTS is merging with Parthenon
TAS non-Parthenon...$330K base + 10-20% bonus. Came up through two different firms when I graduated from my MBA 6 years ago.
I know some 45+ year old senior managers that make $400K+ base. They will be career SMs.
