Hi everyone 👋

Currently exploring a move into tech sales after working in commercial sales within the Premier League.

My background is mainly sponsorship sales, strategic partnerships and high-value commercial negotiations, and I'm now looking at AE opportunities in SaaS - especially companies like Salesforce.

Long term, my wife is American so we'd also love to eventually move to the US.

Would love to connect with anyone who's made a similar move or has advice on breaking into the industry.

Tough right now, not to discourage you but Tech companies continue to layoff people including Salesforce. You will be competing with candidates with more experience in the industry.

I would keep an open mind and also explore other sectors.

I would do more research on Salesforce. Almost a 30 percent drop in stock prices this year. I’m in Chicago and from what I understand it’s a churn & burn sweatshop.

Software engineer. AI writes so much code now, most time is spent just reviewing. It’s not as challenging as it once was. Those lucky enough to still have jobs and the high salaries of the past are over-paid.

Can anyone recommend online professional assessment tests for profiling personality / aptitudes, rather than for skills?

Or can you share which assessments you've seen private equity firms using most often?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Leaving my current job for a career pivot. Current job has been challenging to say the least and senior management never hears what others have to say. Employment is an at will state.
Senior leadership is so unforgiving that I fear by giving notice, I’ll be asked to leave and lose out on two weeks pay.
Thoughts and feedback on not giving notice or reducing the typical two weeks?
Thank you!

Hi! I’ve been in hospitality & management for over 10 years and desperate for a career pivot. As anyone in restaurants knows, the work is ~80 hours a week and often making less on salary than your own tipped-wage employees. I have experience with training, team building, HR, financial analytics, client needs, communications and so much more. Does anyone have recommendations on a new career path or job listings to investigate??

Been in consumer insights all my work life (10 years) and considering pivoting to product or product marketing manager roles. Yet I have had some interesting convos for people manager roles in insights recently and wondering if I should maybe refocus my efforts there. I’m looking for a broader mandate than just my immediate pipeline. I have been enjoying insights but grow frustrated by the lack of decision-making power. I rather would want to take a path with high long term career potential.

Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. Additionally, I’m sick of people looking down on me. My gf is getting a PhD in a social science and gets way more respect then me. I am 25 also. HELP

Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management.
