I just got a new credit card. It came with a Priority Pass membership. I always travel economy, I hardly ever get lounge access. I got excited, until I remembered I can’t travel and lounges are closed anyways. :(

Travel and TTC combo haven’t worked. After 6 months, the only offer I got included 4 weeks paid and FLMA only after 1 year. So 1) go and risk laughable benefits or 2) stay but risk TTC. So shitty 😭

I have a LOT of credit card debt. It has just grown over time and I can’t find my way out. I’m considering debt consolidation, specifically a company called National Debt Relief which seems legit but I’m just so hesitant because I’m scared to make my situation worse. Or a personal loan to pay off all the CC debt and then have a smaller all in one payment. I’m intelligent and I work in finance, it’s so embarrassing. HELP.

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. I find this incredibly uncomfortable and selfish given it will put me and my fiancé in an uncomfortable position (and it will also put my elderly parents and other vulnerable fam members at risk). Any ideas as to what (if anything) to do?

American Airlines points are worthless. An international travel can cost up to $700 in taxes and fees after redeeming miles. Thoughts on redeeming the miles for something of value?

My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Home reno financing question. Have a big project coming up in the $120-150k range. Funding sources are:
- 90k from a heloc around prime
- 10k from a credit card that offers promo checks at 2-3% for 12-18 months
- 375k in a brokerage
- 5-6k per month cash that I can put towards the project, loans, or brokerage

I don't want to stop funding the brokerage because my FIRE plan is less numbers based than "hoard like dragon until it's enough" but maybe I should... How would you optimize?

Hey! Considering negotiating my pay after 1 year of CT experience. In Florida my base is $29/hr. How much of a raise should I ask for (if they don’t automatically give one)? And should I wait to be a travel tech with another year of experience?

Should we actually start posting our rates and salaries?? I work for stepping stones group, I was recruited under a travel contract and they tried to renege. My current offer is for 62/ hour but direct service only aka I only get paid if I’m with kids/ Medicaid billing.

Currently I work as a implementation consultant in a fast growing B2B SaaS company. We just recently received a funding round of 500M EUR, but I don’t have any stake in the company yet (only joined 5 months ago). I got an offer for EY-P but turns out the compensation is a bit lower than my current salary (~50kEUR). I’m really interested in strategy & PE cdd, but never done it before. I’m worried that the opportunity cost is too high if I leave my current company. Really appreciate some advice!
