Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. I read on another thread that someone got rejected by HBS without interview and was then accepted to GSB in the same round. Does anyone else have some success stories like this to share with us HBS rejects?

Anyone has a good rec for improving SC in a really short time. Test in 2 weeks and still not getting half my SC questions right. CR and RC are at about 80% accuracy.

I work in deals and am frankly frustrated that those with 9-5s can get better GMAT scores with their schedules while I have to work around an unpredictable schedule at 80 hrs/week.

Is it ok to take a gap year premba? How would that appear to future employers?

I think I read about some kind of process where when an applicant reaches out to a current student or alum for a 1:1 and makes a good impression, the student/alum can send a message to the adcom letting them know? Is it like a "Hey I connected with this applicant and had a great conversation with them. I think they would be a great fit for the program" type of thing?
