Don't worry we're not doing anything more meaningful here at mbb
Lol, irrespective of whatever you work on you would be able to write Ex-Mckinsey and crack a crazy exit!!
Anyways, can you suggest me some skills I should work on which you feel would be relevant for projects you do at Mckinsey?
Are tech skills like Gen AI and Blockchain really relevant for strategy consulting projects?
I think you should give it some more time and dont be impatient. You will definitely land some nice work if your team does some decent kind of work.
Not to scare you but let the market settle a little bit and then scout for a change. Upskill yourself diligently meanwhile.
For reference- your yoe and ctc ?
.
Be patient bro, I quit my company many times just because the work was very less, now it’s so hectic that I really can’t stand it anymore…….
Totally agree with your point
Hold on, be patient. You'll be given work. If money is good, work is less, utilize ur energy elsewhere if u want. A hobby, sport, parallel consulting projects, entrepreneurship, etc etc. Lot to do.
7L JB is good. What yoe & ctc as Management consultant at Acc consulting?
Asking as I recently applied for a role.
Thats what I am doing picking up some new hobbies😊
Pre MBA YOE- 3.5Y, Post MBA- 3 Months, 46L (31B, 8.52V and 7JB)
Buddy, it’s random at the moment because they hired you for your aptitude and not skills. I know it’s hard to digest but MBAs straight out of college are hired based on intelligence and not skills. Once you gain more exposure or skills, you will start getting opportunities to work on better projects. Start networking with Ms and SMs a bit more to let them know what kind of work you are interested in.
My advice would be to speak to your CC about this and ask how you can better contribute.
Network with some of the Ms and SMs, build your credentials in BDs and RFPs. Use this as a time to do these other activities or develop some skillsets.
As I understand you have just completed 3 months and you will be soon asked in your probation confirmation to justify your time here in the past 6 months.
Hey man , how's your work life now ?
