Hi everyone. I’m a Biomedical engineer and I want to start learning to code AI (Machine learning, neural networks) in python. What resources do you recommend to start with? Thanks!

I’m in the same! Graduated 2019 in BME and I’m starting to learn AI as well.

I’ve been doing a lot of Kaggle, they have a multitude of free courses to start you up in the ML direction. DeepLearning.ai also has a series of free courses for prompt engineering with chat GPT, which isn’t directly AI related but can help you work with the necessary tools and become stronger with the kinds of work needed to interact with AI.

In meantime just Github it up and learn whatever you can from existing documentation. A lot of coding is truly self taught and is about being a learner at the core. Start practicing with what you know and try to stretch yourself now and then with what you build.

Thank you for recommending DeepLearning.AI. I found AI for Medicine Specialization and it sounds awesome.

I would recommend DeepLearning courses as well, I think it's better to start with free courses to get a broad sense of the area, and then you can figure out where you'd like to niche down into

Suggestions needed. Got offer from other Big4s with same money offer. Got to talk to very great partners, and practices/work-life balance are very similar across all 3 firms. Currently more toward DT but only cuz I know more people there so I feel less nervous going there. When it comes to turning down offers, what other professional reasons can I provide?

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

From consulting to investing / lending - anyone has guidance on how to make the move? I’m a consulting manager with finance experience pre-MBA. Thinking about pivoting into investing / lending but struggle to find an angle - assumed that it would be hard to break into investing but lending would be great (all the way from corporate banking to mezz). Any guidance on seeking relevant experience while in consulting?

Fellow introverts...can I only advance in my career if I take on a leadership role? The thought of this terrifies me. My current boss hasn't exactly given me the confidence that would reassure me that I'm leadership material. He constantly questions my design choices, which I'm able to defend. It doesn't help that he always presents outdated ideas and throws UX out the window. I know that I know my stuff and keep up with best practices. I have 4+ years experience but am treated as entry level.
