I'm a data engineer with 3.5 YOE on bench @ EXL for the past 2.5 months since joining here. Most of the opportunities I'm getting are towards the data analyst side with Excel, PBI etc and very less data engg work, while I'm looking for backend focused roles. If anyone has any leads for data engineering roles internally.. do let me know/ consider me.
Skillset: SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Airflow, Docker, Batch/ Stream processing, Data Modelling, Data warehousing

I don't understand the point of hiring candidates. Its been more than two months and i am sitting idle. There is no updates from management. I am getting info like i will get half salary this month because of the bench policy. I m confused what to do next

I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback

Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

How many people are on bench currently in Publicis Sapient for DevOps and Cloud ?

Is it a better situation for this skill particularly.

How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager. I was waiting to negotiate my salary for next year but per company trend that doesn’t get set until January (manager reviews are written in Dec).
