Would it be inappropriate to apply for an ACD position with my title currently at mid level? I have the years of experience to qualify but haven’t been able to get any title promotion, not even to senior, at my current agency for the same reasons I’m looking for a new position. I’ve been looking for senior opportunities and I’m seeing a bunch of ACD positions opening up. Don’t want to look like I don’t know what I’m doing for trying to hop a level.
My team mate has a very noisy way of biting his nails - imagine a smacking sound. Happens all day long in the team room. How do I tactfully raise this?
What’s the salary expectation for Deloitte advisory SC in tier 1 city? and what’s the YoY comp raise look like?
What do you do when your SO is so naive that she tells her employer during a promotion interview that her long term plan is a career in academia.
No new from RP yet about promotion but Got an email from Independence Checkpoint about a new portfolio due within 5 days. Does that mean I made manager?
Is anyone interested in investing in a commercial asset that returns average CoC of 10%, 8% pref and an IRR of 15%+. Total return of 100%+ typically 5 year hold. I’m looking to help raise some capital from sophisticated investors over the next few months but not sure if people in consulting are interested in this. Most of my investors are friends or acquaintances as of now.
How can I set the stage this year to negotiate a lower billable hours expectation instead of a raise? As a woman I'm hesitant to be open about my reason: I want more time at home with my kids. I lateraled to this firm a year ago for WLB and they are indeed flexible on WFH which helps. Salary is a bit below average for mid-size firms like mine in my area, and I didn't get a raise or bonus this year because I didn't hit the billable target (1900). Ideally I'd keep my salary but go to 1600 hours.
Got offer from D for Consultant in tech. Slightly above 6 figures. Is that the top of C band? Will it mean no raise until I hit SC?
I was asked to take on formal supervisor duties without a promotion or raise for at least 1 year. Tips on how to negotiate this?
Found out I'm getting a promotion! But the raise is lower than another coworker is getting who isn't getting a title bump. Any tips for starting a dialogue? Can I negotiate? Never done this before...
Everytime I ask my boss for a raise he tells me there is a freeze. How should I handle the situation?

What is average raise for a senior in Mid West area during a non promotion year. If you can specify senior 1, 2 or 3 along with percent raise that would helpful.
Are good looking people usually getting faster promotion, tending to do more management and non tech work?
Wife just got an offer to go from KPMG (Manager up for promotion to SM) to Deloitte (as Manager) do you recommend pushing SM or come in as Manager with runway. Also, any recommendations for first 6m?
People who got promoted last year - how do you feel about it? I feel guilty given that most people didn’t even get a raise (in the UK). I find it hard to reconcile with the COVID gloom
I am looking for moving forward in my career. My background is as follows: - bachelors in environmental health and safety engineering (EHS) - masters in safety sciences 6.5 years work experience - worked in distribution in EHS for a year - worked in EHS Consulting for 3 years - currently working in insurance consulting in risk management Want to get opinions on next move. United needs cash to pay for better PR. Upvote if you think they should relinquish some gates to Delta @ORD!
Has anyone pivoted from consulting to IB or vice versa? How quickly were you able to pick up the skills for the other role’s interview process / career?
Was laid off by D 2 years ago. Was reached for a position by a recruiter and have final rounds soon. Is this a joke, would they really hire me again? Note I was in Advisory new job is for Consulting.
Is LinkedIn helpful? I only see it as a means to showcase one's experience/education background. Am I missing out on its benefits? Not a lot of big agencies post jobs there (atleast in my city) and the recruiters that do reach out have vague, often marketing-related, job offers.
Was reached out to by a Vynamic recruiter Really want to get into healthcare-specific consulting, but would love to move into this space along with a bump. Currently make $120k base ~10k bonus per year with 4.5 YOE. Anyone know of Vynamic’s average comp at the Manager level & if I can expect an increase?
At PWC MC Health Industries, got an offer for KPMG MC Healthcare. Interested in finding out more about your division!
Pls advise salary band! Been asking for months. 😩 Firm: PwC / Location: London / Service Line: Risk / Grade: Senior Manager
Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? Honestly just looking to learn anything.
I’m especially concerned with how this is going to impact the legal industry. What’s the best way to cut costs and make my firm more lean while being humane with job cuts?
4.5 YOE in NYC, 2 years were in consulting and 2.5 in industry. What salary range (base and TC) can I expect for an exit opp?
Second year Consultant who came from a benefits broker. I feel like I am very much still learning the ropes of consulting. Was asked to help on a deck for proposal work for something I have no background/knowledge in. Told by the partner that I wouldn’t be creating content just story boarding and managing and organizing in the deck. The manager, familiar with the proposed solution, however seems to be annoyed with me that I didn’t create content. Not sure what to make of this?
My current opt expires on 07/02, my h1B petition was filed on 06/16. My firm wants receipt notice for I-9 verification or I-20 and DSO won’t be able generate new I-20 without receipt notice. If I can’t submit one of these before 07/02 they are stating that I need to separate from firm. Can someone advise me what I can do?
From reading this app. I realize we have it really well at EY. Deloitte doing major layoffs, KMPG has to come in at the crack of dawn, PwC well the hours..
Do people front load their 401k contributions? I put in 30% for the first 6 months and then prorate up to the max for the last 6. Also, anyone know a way where we can put an explicit $ amount in instead of percent? I'd like to be at $19,500 to the cent at EOY
I’m doing a video interview tomorrow with another big 4. If it was in the office, I’d wear a suit. It’s not obviously so what do I wear?
