Husband & I bought a home in DC suburbs Apr 2021. Buyer’s remorse because my job became indefinitely remote making it hard to build a social life here - 1/2 our friends moved away in last 1.5 years. Thinking of moving to PA in 1-3 years where we have friends & family. Do you recommend renting out our home? Or sell it for nest egg after 2 yr mark to avoid capital gains tax & potentially just before the real estate peak (maybe 2025 if 18 year cycle+2007)? Husband wants to rent it, I want to sell.

How did you navigate refinancing loans? I have both private and federal loans (definitely applying for the relief for the federa). I'm going to have to refinance all of them bit I don't really know where to start. I've been holding off because I'm in a contract to hire situation and upon hire (if hired) I'll probably be offered a lower salary.

I just received a job offer at a company I'm very interested in working for (yay!). Their salary offer, however, is at the bottom end of the range specified in the job ad. In my initial interview, I said that my salary expectations align with the range specified by the ad. So, my question is do I ask for more? Or do I just accept the offer? The company benefits are decent and I would get stock options, and it's fully remote - if that influences your answer.

We started back in August in distance learning mode, core subjects only. So no STEM classes. One of our 8th grade teachers was out on maternity leave, so I was asked to take that spot for the first semester. I was a long time 5th grade teacher, so not a difficult adjustment, except for learning new to me digital curriculum.

I have 2 STEM classes for the second quarter. Still online, so my focus is on coding.

Just got paid out on my last day. How do I know the amount is accurate? Yep, it's almost equal to 2 paychecks. But I want to know if my pension was paid out to that same check. If it did, then I think I got paid less.

My first 2 busy season jobs ended (SA) and I am only booked on my new job for 20 hours this week.. pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
