Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Hi Everyone! I have been working in Salesforce for about a year now. But I am not enjoying my work as it's mainly on backend. I have been wanting to move to Web Dev. But someone suggested that like if I like frontend I should try LWC instead as I'm already into Salesforce. So I'm quite confused which way should I go. Yes, this has less to do with the company and more to do with residence/tax/visa laws. To work abroad for an extended period of time you’d need to become an official resident of that new country with a work permit. So the company would need to transfer you there officially and get you a work permit.
Thanks for your response! I didn't think companies had an interest in visas because most countries allow for 90 day visa free travel. But I could completely understand having to sponsor a work visa is a difficult and lengthy process that companies wouldn't want to go through.

Also to clarify the 90 day part above…it’s not technically “visa free”…it’s a 90-day tourist visa, just without the need to apply for a physical visa. So it comes with all the restrictions of tourist visas such as no ability to work legally.
