I am bit confused currently. Please help me with genuine suggestions.I am currently working in TCS since 7 years and TCS was my first company. TCS is giving me 6.25lpa. Now I got an offer of 16lpa in CTS for Automation Testing role. But once I started talking to friends i got to know that one of my frnd has recently been fired from CTS last year due t unavailability of project. I am stuck in IR purgatory. I hate IR. I started off my career ten years ago as a deal guy. Then my firm asked me to shoulder IR responsibilities as well. For the NJ folks who work in NYC - my potential new employer has offices in both NJ and NYC. The NJ office is a 1.5 hour drive vs. NYC ~40 min commute via train. Still very much hybrid work arrangement. Given the option, which office would you prefer to be based out of and why? Mostly asking from a tax perspective. While I believe it’ll even out when filing, I’d be paying state tax in both states throughout the year, right?
