As I think about looking for a new job outside of recruitment, how do you reconcile leaving commission behind? I make 50k base but over 6 figs in commission within my first year, and I WFH. I’m still “early” career with only recruitment and admin work history, and it appears that any job I’d qualify for is realistically 45-70k.

*I’ll stay for the money, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it in face of the lack of management, their disciplinarian mindset, and the non-stop stress from it all.

Recruiters, how many candidates have you had drop out because they would be required to come into the office and they prefer remote/hybrid?

Hi all - I’m working as a Jr AE at a remote agency. Before full-time at this agency, I interned there for 2 years and often did pro-bono work. I love my company so much, but I often feel stuck when it comes to salary and growth. The salary is minimum wage and every time I ask about a raise they agree I need one but never get around to it. Moms, I’m back at work after leave (came in the office for the first time today), and WOW I am tired. I can definitely tell that my mind is slower and I’m not firing at 100% thanks to baby brain. I’m also getting distracted really easily and struggling to focus.
