I Got one Offer from Fynd but that is too low for me and as per my expereince
They are giving me 9 LPA bcz I quoted that amount when I applied for it long back. at that time I didnt know more about how salary and all calculated and whats the market research
Now after clearing all the rounds when we meet for salary discussion i told him my real desired salary as per experience and market reseach
He told me that I quoted 9 LPA so we can not do more "unless you have any counter offer"

Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???

Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?

TCS Infosys you will stuck at this page next 3-4 Year ..and you need continuous growth.
But same time be happy with whatever you have is worth rather than chasing people.
Don't compare man, every has its own story. Meri baat maan 50lpa bhi milega toh bhi kam hi hoga after few years, kyonki insaan ki jarurate Puri nhi hoti, any ways just dont be in comfort zone and be updated every day, all the best

Be real. A job at any of these companies will keep you lower middle classes forever. Is that why you work hard? Is that why you did engineering?
Also, 20L today is not much. Please check how much you need to save for basic things like a house, retirement savings, kid's education, healthcare for aging parents.
I feel our needs have increased a lot and it keeps on increasing with pay rise. And due to social media there is a constant comparison with peers and artificial greed injected. Inflation is a fact but these extra needs are also a fact.
And I have extended family members,neighbours who are surviving on 15-20-25k salary and are happy and healthy.
I'm also from middel class family and started with 30k/month. At that salary I was very happy and satisfied.
I switched few companies and now even lakh/month feels lesser. Greed have no limits and it increases with more you get and also with family responsibilities.
I have spent 6+ years at TCS and started my career there. And my salary was the same as YOE. There should not be any single reason to praise TCS.
Offer that you are getting more than expected from TCS as per your YOE.
The problem of these companies is that they ignore their existing employee salaries, and are ready to hire with high salaries from outside.
What an irony,
Started career at TCS, spent 6+years , was getting 6 LPA.
Now for the same position (ITA) my ex colleague joined TCS this month with 20LPA. 😁😁😁
Any amount of salary is insufficient for greedy minded people and luxurious materialistic life. You are happy with what you have and what you achieved and that is what matters. People came from rich background will never understand this.

I am also from middle class, these companies are robbers and slave making organizations, paying ten or twenty times lesser than what people of the industry are getting paid globally
You don't know shit. Why are companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Accenture, KPMG, EY, LTI MindTree always making profits like anything ? And their pays same as what they used to give 20 or 25 years ago
People who are hating tcs and Infosys have completely different reasons than what you mentioned.
One of the many is , their appraisals. They will give you below inflation percentage appraisal. Now if you don't want to blame company and look for a switch, here also they have 3 months of notice period which will again damage the job switching.
Now if you say like lets forget about the job switch and forget about appraisal because you are already getting what you require to survive and focus on the existing job itself, here also tcs has very rigid projects which will swallow every ounce of your energy. For the work they are expecting us to do ,their appraisals won't match with that.
Now if you say like do hard work for those rigid projects,it will benefit for your career only. Here also they give you very stupid projects with old tech which no other companies are looking for. So the hard work you are doing is not helping you gain any good knowledge which will grow your career.
So what's the point of living happily currently with what you have, knowing that happy time won't stay for long.
Tcs and Infosys and etc some MNC's are good for people who are looking for experience before going to higher studies or people who just want to tell their relatives or for marriage even though they have generational wealth or for a person who dont have any family responsibilities and all the salary he or she is getting will be used for his or her own needs.
Yes absolutely correct, but not everyone can shift to Bengaluru or Hyderabad for opportunities. As per my experience, majority of IT folks are average talents and they have family pressure. Out of 10 ,2 will join product company,rest will be in infy,tcs,cts,etc. Now these 8 folks will be unhappy seeing that 2 person.Out of 8,2 will go to onsite,2 will upskill and switch and rest 4 will stay back and rant about salary,company and badluck.
My way is to upskill and switch and not wait for hikes. I only care about my tech stack and package ,happy being in service ,bcz product based above my aukaat.
how does TCS and Infosys paying low and people criticising it, have anything to do with your household conditions ? If you work hard, you can get more than this. There are lot of companies which pay 20 lpa to freshers, even there you can support family and help them live a better life.
Eventually its what you want to settle for.

Yes my post is about my honest opinion.I can see people with same or less experience as mine are not happy with 35lpa but I feel happy and content with a lower package than them.I don't know if I am lowballing myself or my needs are less .
Dude a great man said never love a company, love your work. That's what you need to do. When they feel they are not getting or they are done they won't even give a second thought and throw you out.

The issue with me is, I was at TCS for nearly 2 years. Worked on 2 projects, the company paid me 7% of what the client was paying for me, and I was still cheaper than their US counterparts.
If I work for the client directly FROM INDIA, I would obviously cover the gap these companies are looting from the middle.
TCS has a good reputation for collecting and keeping a good workforce for cheap, all the reasons people hog towards it, if you can grow well in the company, then kudos to you brother but this was just insanely pre colonial like.

What role you have in TCS. If they are offering 20lpa that means it isn't a small role.
When you achieve a certain degree of dream, then you will want to get better, and dream higher. When you see monetary problems, then, you will want to join any company. But, once you get settled with money, then you will want to get better than yesterday.
Without this prosperous mindset, life has no meaning. Even if you want to do nothing or bare minimum and settle, it is still more than what you wanted yesterday. Majority of the Indian companies lack this level of future vision. They dont care how to take India forward. Or push a tech to new heights. They just want to squeeze money without effort. That is why the hate against these service based.
It is good to hear. My story is different, i got selected for team lead in TCS and received mail for documentation and i did it and then no response from HR's end. I called they said we are waiting from business team communication about your joining procedure. I called after 2 weeks they said company is focusing on hiring associates (which will go 2 months approx) so after that we will receive the communication and will start with the procedure. I did not receive any communication after 2 months so called HR, he said may be company got candidate internally and or or they might have kept you in buffer so that when requirement comes will contact you.
How come they can do this. I just don't get it.
You won't understand unless you know the your real worth of your skillset and knowledge.
Author, wait till you get married and have kids and understand life better. It is good that you are satisfied with what you have. However, once you understand life more, you will realise that no one can escape fate, but at the same time, if your fate has a lot of crying, it is better to cry in a mansion rather than a hut!

I am married for around 1year now. It is an arranged marriage.Before marriage I told my in laws and wife that I can lose my job next day itself so don't expect me to buy house/flat/car or take any loans for that. SHE still married me without any expectations and till date we are happy . Although before her many women and their families rejected me or asked to buy a flat and move out.
