Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?

Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???

TCS Infosys you will stuck at this page next 3-4 Year ..and you need continuous growth.
But same time be happy with whatever you have is worth rather than chasing people.
Don't compare man, every has its own story. Meri baat maan 50lpa bhi milega toh bhi kam hi hoga after few years, kyonki insaan ki jarurate Puri nhi hoti, any ways just dont be in comfort zone and be updated every day, all the best

Be real. A job at any of these companies will keep you lower middle classes forever. Is that why you work hard? Is that why you did engineering?
Also, 20L today is not much. Please check how much you need to save for basic things like a house, retirement savings, kid's education, healthcare for aging parents.
I feel our needs have increased a lot and it keeps on increasing with pay rise. And due to social media there is a constant comparison with peers and artificial greed injected. Inflation is a fact but these extra needs are also a fact.
And I have extended family members,neighbours who are surviving on 15-20-25k salary and are happy and healthy.
From my opinion , I wouldn’t say the hate is not just because of monetary benefits . It’s about everything - the work culture , how your immediate bosses treat you , whether you are a cultural fit in that space . Everyone here are having different skill set and want to see make use of this corporate space until they are healthy enough and see some money … what is wrong in that ? And hats off to you , you have a great mindset and chose to stay happy with your package . Your package is also far better than many when it comes to service based sector … There’s nothing wrong in chasing and having big dreams , at the same time no harm in staying contented where you are … It’s depends and differs case by case bro …
