I received a call for Engagement Manager position with AWS. Even though I have the JD for the same, it appears kind of cluttered, with lots of Agile flavour thrown in, hence reaching out to the audience to understand what exactly this role entails?
Is it a sales oriented role, is P & L an integral part of being an Engagement Manager with AWS?
Any inputs will be much appreciated.

How would you approach an interview process where the company sounds exciting but you feel confident the role would not be a growth opportunity for your skill set? How realistic is it to land an AD position as a fresh grad (with a doctorates) and a handful of pharma & FDA interships? Does anyone have any advice on how to shift from a specialist (paid advertising) to a more strategic (in digital marketing) role? I've been job searching for a couple of weeks and would love to be considered for roles outside paid advertising but it seems to be extra challenging this time of the year.

Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. A director in another unit wants to meet me to “continue a conversation we started last year”. He is referring to the time I had asked him if there were openings on his team. That was over a year ago. I am not too happy where I am right now ( I stayed where I was). I also don’t know if he really has an opportunity or if this is just some corporate circle jerk where my current director is trying to “smoke me out”. I don’t speak poorly of my team/work.
