Hi! For people who have started with EY US recently, how long did it take you from signing the offer, completing background check, to transferring H1B visa? I'm supposed to start in mid-Jan and trying to gauge the timeline so I can put in notice with my current company and plan other stuff. Given that holiday is coming and EY immigration seems pretty slow. TIA!

For H1B stamping, while there are many cases of admin processing, which take 2-4 months, have there been any cases of Denial after that or do most cases come out of admin processing with approval?

Are initial law firm consultations usually free? I’m on H1B and wanted to schedule an initial consultation with an immigration lawyer to discuss some GC options (outside of employment based) and was told I’d have to pay $200 for a consultation (45 mins session).

Am I being cheap for not wanting to pay that or are there firms out there that offer free consultations?
