Hi guys! 1st year at HBS, T2 top performer consultant before (focused on financial services and due diligences) outside of the US. I was quite sick in the first semester of HBS (I had some immune issues) but now fully recovered and could not do IBD recruiting.
Questions: 1) is it still possible to recruit for this year? (e.g. at least in theory Citi has vacancies open) and 2) if not and for a total newbie like me, what's the best plan to ensure that I get a FT IBD offer next year?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
