Hi guys, what’s difference between Sr Con and a Manager in terms of role and responsibilities in consulting in Indian BIG4s. Interviewed with a couple of them.In the partner round discussion in each of the firm, partner asked if I was ready to join as a final year Sr con? I have around total 8.5 YOE, post MBA would complete 6 years in August.

If i got selected I am planning to move with my family.

Don't join as senior con. 6 years post Mba easily qualifies as a Manager. Or if you want lower responsibility, go for senior con but ask for atleast 30 lpa fixed
Lower responsibility? Senior con drives entire engagement execution.Manager sits back and relaxes.
I joined as SC with 5 years post MBA experience. Not sure what's the salary range of SCs, but as per what I know, no Indian entity will give a salary more than 25lpa at SC level.
Which practice?
I see some merit in both of your points..@accenture1 and @Ey1
