I’m starting the IVF process and planning to do my first egg retrieval in early June. I’m hoping to do back-to-back retrievals due to my age and hoping to have at least a few healthy embryos before we try our first transfer. When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

Why are so many moving from CSR to CSP. I get that the fee is significantly higher for the former, but how are benefits better for the latter?

Hi all. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 and it’s been hard to heal with the ups and downs of a very competitive sales position in the current market. Before taking FMLA for 12 weeks I was a top performer. Any advice from those that also live with bipolar disorder, or advice on a potentially a less stressful position to ease out of sales? I have 7 years healthcare sales and 1.5 years as a MLO.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I teach a hybrid of face to face and virtual instruction and we have 1 hour and 10 minutes for whole group instruction. These are fifth graders. How would you use this time to maximize learning? What strategies/methods would you use for engagement and mastery?
