Generally in every project . PM has to plan 2 days leave per month. If you are the only resource in you project , it is not your problem. Client PM(T&M)/ Vendor PM(Fixed Bid) should plan the additional resource on your absence or they should aware of delay of delivery.
I agree.. This same project used to have 3 senior employees one year before all started leaving one by one may be because of this manager's toxic behaviour. He didn't plan for new resource until everybody left and asking me to take all responsibility with minimum input and support before 30 days of joining this project.

Cont... This onsite manager making me sit until night 12. If somedays I logoff early, he will call me at night.. he is not giving me any official work hour detail there is no allowance in this project, meaning he cannot ask me sit and work after 10 pm. No proper KT here. All experienced dudes left well before i came to this project actually no one is here except me. I usually take responsibility and work well. But he making me hate this project. I am having 5 years of experience I was leading a team of 8 before this project. It was ramped down so came to this project as my previous manager requested for it. Also I had highest rating this year.. this is what I am going to do. I am going to leave cognizant even if they give 30% hike for my rating next month. F**k this manager.

Noone can call you on your personal number directly for work related discussion. It's not right media for professional talk. So you directly tell your manager that pls drop mail or in teams chat for any prof. discussion. I did same by making complaint that I get frequent calls from manager on personal number and also he has created watsapp grp for proj discussion which is wrong media.
Then after he immediately stopped calling me.
Everyone must know that whatever work related discussion must be on company's media only. If they communicate you personally it's not valid.

Sick leaves don't need permissions. You can apply and send an email.
When sick leaves seem questionable then you are in a perfectly wrong place to work. Start looking for opportunities outside
Yes that's what i felt. I was managing 8 resources in my team previously. I never asked anyone for their leave reason. We had wonderful rappo but this guy is toxic..

You are working in the same company is not at all bad . But loosing your work life balance is really the pain. If you have leaves in hand why do you work in the sick times. I took 12 lwp though I joined in the may 2022 as I am not well. Becoz wealth or anything's can be earned expect time and health which won't come back. Utilise your leaves and work as per timelines not overtime everyday
Fortunately, I never asked for permission from my manager for a leave. I directly drop a mail to team and keeping manager in CC, that I would be on leave. That's it ... Leave are given so that we can use we don't need anyone's permission for that.
Don't ask permission for sick leaves. Drop a mail informing them that you're taking a sick leave, stay offline and don't attend any calls. Even when I was in Infosys with tight schedules, I just dropped a mail to my leads and managers to inform them I'm taking the day-off.
Please start looking for a new opportunity. Your Onsite Manager is unfortunately toxic.
I guess you need to learn few things .. Stop saying No .. start taking sick leaves , whether he likes or not . And always be prepared technically , if you are good then you can dictate your own terms..

Yes... Past 90 days more than 1 lack people has left.. management is not taking care of employees that much it seems. After new CEO brain took over management went to dogs.

In ibm, there is unlimited sick leave. We would not ask to anybody too. Just need to send email to everyone in team and that's enough in most cases
why do you ask for permission for sick leave simply drop an email to all group, for planned leave can ask for permission

He didn't deny directly but it looks like he is not happy that I am taking leave... I am having 20 expiry leaves this year and to total I am having 40+ leaves available.. if he denies I will tell him on his face that I will take leave do what ever he can do.. I don't need to work like this against my will. Nobody should and nobody should treated like this and any field.

Hope you get well soon, I always say this to people giving more hours than you are supposed to without letting your management know will lead to burnout and disappointment. You're nothing but just a replaceable series of number. Take care of yourself and don't feel bad about taking a leave, what's the point of such a message by your senior if he knows only you are there in the "team" and if you yourself are not well how will the deliverables be addressed.
Ask him to work or get someone on board
