Hi! I currently work as an Eligibility Specialist, but there’s a lot of RCM/Billing work within my job. I’m not just verifying/updating insurance info, doing prior auth’s, etc. It’s much to type, but I love what I do. I am looking to expand my knowledge and heavily considering getting my coding license, however after a-lot of research, it seems’s like it’s an extremely saturated field and extremely hard to obtain a job, plus AI taking over. Any coders out there still encourage this move?

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Now HR is restarting my ET as a new employee. I realize I left, but not on bad terms and I am an exemplar and respected employee. Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? And how would I be able to cross over to management?

Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises. We asked HR but they didn’t do anything about it. Is this normal? Is this legal? If not, what else can we do about it?
