I messed up and gave a target salary instead of range to a recruiter. She mentioned that she wanted the info to take back to hiring managers. I've already been through two round of interviews and my last one is just a mock client presentation otherwise I would try and say "after learning more about the role my range has changed". I don't think I can spin that now.

Can I clean this up in an email to her tactfully before she shares numbers with the team? If so, how? TY!

I ask this because during an internship I had a year ago I met an older guy who worked for the company I interned at who told me back in the day, the big 8 firms used to be way different. Just accepted an offer as a project delivery specialist. To be completely honest, mainly just took the role for the almost 33% pay increase and how much I enjoyed the team during the interview process.
