No. I have switched just 2 weeks back and had 2 offer both 30+ with 6 years of experience.
It is true that most companies won't pay high but a good number of companies are paying as much as 40lpa. It all depends on the calls you're getting from the recruiters.
Also, what they are offering depends on your current CTC as well. For example if your current ctc is 9 and they are offering 18 then it is max for them as it is 100% hike. This is how it works with most of the organisation in India
What ctc should i expect if i have 2.6 years of experience with current ctc of 5.6 lpa in data science role ?
I still have one month to join, hope I will get calls from good companies

No brother, I just switched to 24 LPA in Data Science and i have 2 YOE. So it’s about company whether they are product based.
I think I have to search in a different way
Wait for some more offers and you'll get around 25 lpa for sure
DM for referral at Fynd
Try Nagarro
Sure
I am 4 years got 19.5 from deloitte usi, a 100% hike same profile
What is the job location
I have 5 years of experience in Data science with current CTC of 30+
- You won't get such package in service based company.
- If you switch to big product based organisation you can easily get 25-30LPA for 5 years experience.
- And your technical interview should go so well that the hiring manager is ready for anything that you demand.
Yeah, but the opportunity is less!
Analytics is there in almost any product based company, it may be automobile, Software, manufacturing, network, healthcare, telecom, banking or take any example.. it's always there..
CV and deep learning is very small group and are mostly outsourced or given to start up company to develop... As it involves hardware setup, and maintenance.
For analytics we need strong domain knowledge+ company doesn't like to share internal Data, so they form in house data science team to solve.
I have almost 3 years of experience now in data analytics and still iam earning only 3.7 per Annum I don't understand how people are getting 3 digit salary
You need to get into product based company.
When I say product based company, it should be big tech giants!
You will get 30L+ for 5 years experience.
But with such high package you should have all knowledge from SQL, Python, Data science, BI tools, Cloud etc..
It's not like you will do all the work, you will have Teams who will work for you, I'm a Lead data scientist today in product based company, and in my interview they focus on all topics around SQL, Python, Data science, BI tools, Cloud, Devops pipeline etc..
But right now my primary work in around 50% is Data science and rest 50% collaborate with other technology expert from my team, where I work in defining right flow and process with Data engineer, BI, cloud guy to make it a complete product.
With end to end architecture, MLops pipeline for the project.
Along with me i also have 3 Jr data scientist with 1 expert in ML, another in NLP, GAI, and 3rd in ML/DL
So basically i manage 3 data scientist to build AI-ML models (along with defining the problem and how to also it, i also deep dive in technical stuff in coding, reviewing works etc)
And I Collaborate with 1 Data engineer, 1 Cloud engineer and 1 BI / visualisation engineer
To make it's completely project...
Also sometimes i also parallelly working in 2-3 use case parallelly along with above mentioned team and managing with stakeholders as well.
So in short if your ready to do all such work in product based company, you can also get 30L + salary
