Hi, I'm an MBA candidate at Sauder School of Business, UBC. I am trying to land an internship in tech, as my past life is from tech. But it's worse than speed dating, where not body wants to talk 2 u, LinkedIn is giving digital form of cold shoulder. Referral seems so tough in Canada, as if bounders only let their cousins in. Writing a cold email is like writing to Santa.

If any of u can help me find an internship as an MBA student in Canada, it will help me the most. I am new to the place.

I feel like I'm doing everything right, but my research is not getting the attention it deserves.

I've submitted papers to all the right journals, gone to all the right conferences, and published on all the right topics. Yet no one seems to care—no one's citing my work!

Recently, the CEO and my boss, the VP gave me the latitude to promote myself and "write my own" job description. I've been the Marketing Manager of this company for about 7 months. Already received 1 raise.

I’m a Junior product manager with a Master’s in Healthcare Management. I feel like the current company that I am at has my title as JPM, but I am doing PM work i.e creating product roadmaps, collaborating across stakeholders (business, marketing, design teams), creating user stories/features, etc. and I feel like my work isn’t being valued and I’m constantly being micromanaged by business teams expectations.

How feasible is it for me to apply to a PM role with less than a year of experience?

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. Tips/concepts to know for Google Data Center Technician interview? I’m coming from help desk so I’m not super well versed in hardware/networking

Tech companies who have gone remote since the pandemic: do you get a stipend for home internet or a mobile hot spot for when your home internet goes out? Some of my employees are having issues that directly impact their ability to join customer calls, but my company’s IT department doesn’t offer any support. Wondering if that’s still the norm.

I'm currently interviewing for a hardware internship (at a startup). I've had a phone interview, a 30 minute technical interview and now I have a 2-3 hour interview. Is it just me or does this seem a little excessive for an internship?

I have accepted an offer for the role of Director of Data Science & Analytics and I'll be working with old colleagues. I am very excited. I haven't given notice yet because I am waiting for the background check to complete, but my boss just asked me about traveling to a meeting in November. I start at the new job Oct 25. I'm really struggling for how to respond. If I were not leaving it is absolutely a meeting I should be at. I don't want to respond with a lie. Any dvice on how to respond?
