Hi. This is a question for the recruiters. I have been a contract worker for the past few years and I reached out to my contacts to let them know I am available. I saw a posting for a junior-level opening with an agency I've worked with in the past. Why would a recruiter NOT submit someone for an opening when a review from a previous client was positive? I explained that while I knew it was a more junior position, I need to work for the income. Any ideas or suggestions?

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? We have been using Indeed for years now for free and paid job ads and always follow terms of use. They asked for a company document for verification purposes after they blocked us from posting. I provided Business Entity Detail, sales tax license, business and management indemnity policy declaration but they didn’t take them as valid proof. Have you dealt with anything like this?
