Despite having multiple offers in hand, and even better compensation I joined PAR Technology because they mentioned I will get work on microservices and AWS & .NET 6

They also mentioned they will be creating new products (finTech) for Indian market as well and will get exposure, will be very profitable.

After joining:
Didn't get anything promised, rather the entire team was getting harrassed by the manager, and the HR
CONT...

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
