Absolutely not. We don’t respect them anymore. And we think we are so much smarter than them. And show it. Even if they thought there was value in what we do, why would they invest? We overwork our kids and disrespect our elders. And undercut and underbid each other like it’s just business as usual. No. They don’t value us. They are just waiting for the tides to shift again.
I don’t think so...
Clients definitely value what you do if you do it well. To be fair, the expectations are shifting, and if you’re feeling like you’re being disrespected, it’s likely your clients feel the same way. Use the mirror, see what you can adjust and improve. Communicate with your clients to see what they’re not getting from you. Like any relationship, it takes work, it takes patience, and it takes constant communication.

No. When media changed to an at-scale model, creativity and agencies became commoditized. To put it another way...how vulnerable would gold be if suddenly it was so common you could pick it up off the side of the road.
Not really.
Clients love data to CYA ( or CTA , if you know what I mean) to protect their jobs. So we give them that. They respect that we are a necessary evil that will spend their budget. Literally, that’s it.
Enjoy it!
