I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. 2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

I teach 4th and 5th grade.
I am not out to my students and families.
I am a very loved and "popular" teacher at school for my ability to build relationships and engage.

I am worried that coming out or rather being outed may affect my ability to build relationships because parents who have issues will inevitably relay certain messages to their children.


Coming out in an elementary setting is different from a middle or high school setting I feel. Anyone else?
