My doctor switched me to Letrozole, and I haven’t had the same anxiety or headaches I did on Clomid (just swollen feeling ovaries again, which is I guess how taking a large dose of either to trigger multiple eggs is supposed to work)
Clomid made me think I was in the middle of a serious mental health crisis. When I switched to Letrozole the next cycle I didn’t feel any of that. I wish doctors would just start with Letrozole since Clomid is known to make people feel crazy.
Clomid had me feeling like I was on an emotional roller coaster, barely hanging on. I had vision problems with my second round of it so we moved to Letrozole and symptoms were much better, just hot flashes.
I had severe reaction to Clomid that took a toll on me. Switching to letrozole was successful. Definitely encourage asking your doctor about it.
I primarily used letrozole during my two years of fertility treatments and truly only had mile side effects. I did ONE cycle of clomid but unfortunately resulted in only a large cyst developing on my ovary. The mood swings were really next level. Fortunately, when I switched back to letrozole I started ovulating properly again and I got pregnant on my last cycle. If you can switch without affecting your odds, I would highly recommend!
Ohhh maybe that's worth asking about. I'm on such a low dose, I never thought it would impact me this much. But damn
